Srinagar, Oct 2 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday urged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to uphold the principles of Mahatma Gandhi, emphasizing peace, prosperity, and self-reliance as guiding values for the Union Territory.

Speaking at Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at SKICC, LG Sinha as per news agency JKNS said Gandhi Ji had envisioned J&K as a land of hope and prayed for it to shine as a beacon for the nation during challenging times. He called upon young people to make Gandhian values the foundation of their lives and actively contribute to societal welfare.

Highlighting the government’s initiatives, LG Sinha said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, efforts are being made to realize Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a developed India. He further encouraged citizens to adopt swadeshi, promoting domestic industries and self-reliance across the Union Territory. (JKNS)
