Sopore, Oct 2 (JKNS): The BDC Chairperson Sopore, Dr. Farida Khan, in collaboration with MC Sopore, organized the culmination event of Seva Parv and Swachhata Hi Seva on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, featuring a cleanliness drive at Ghanta Ghar Clock Tower and a plantation drive at Open Gym Centre Park and RRR Centre, Chinkipora Sopore.
The programme witnessed active participation from health staff members, ASHA workers, MC Sopore employees, and volunteers. Dr. Farida Khan highlighted the success of the Seva Parv initiative, which encompassed blood donation camps, free medical camps, GST reforms awareness programmes, cleanliness drives, and plantation campaigns. She said the local populace responded positively to these initiatives, contributing to the grand success of the event.
The Seva Parv programme, which commenced on September 17, 2025, aimed to promote community service, social welfare, and civic responsibility across the region.
Appreciating the enthusiasm of participants throughout the campaign, Dr. Farida Khan noted that such initiatives strengthen community bonds and foster a spirit of unity and selfless service.
