Demands immediate release of all political leaders, youth

Srinagar, Mar 24 :Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has welcomed release of Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah who was under custody for about seven months under the Public Safety Act (PSA)
Hakeem Yaseen while welcoming release of Omar Abdullah has urged for the release of Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufi , JKPM president Shah Faisal, Jk peoples party chief Sajad Gani Lone alongwith all other political leaders and youth adding that their free movement will help to rejuvenate stalled political process in the state. He said with the release of political leaders , the people of the state shall get a political platform to highlight thier grievances and problems without any difficulty.
PDF Chairman said that difference of ideas and dissent was the essence of democracy adding that silencing the voice of opposition through coercive means doesn’t behove good in a democratic set up.
Hakeem Yaseen has also urged the government to lift ban on 4-G internet adding that use of high speed internet has become all the more necessary due to total clampdown in the wake of spread of Coronaviru. He said high speed internet would be very useful and beneficial to keep the masses abreast with the important measures and precautions to prevent spread of Coronaviru in the state. He has also made a fervent appeal to the people of the state to strictly follow the instructions of the administration and medical experts , being issued from time to time , in connection with the control of dreaded Novel Coronavirus adding that there should be no compromise on the health advisories against the fatal disease.
