Srinagar, Mar 24 : Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar Dr Haseeb Mughal on Tuesday appealed incoming passengers to report screening centres established by government amid COVID-19 scare SSP said people shouldn’t get panic but to follow advisories issued by the government from time to time.
He said, It is highly unfortunate that few among incoming passengers from other parts of world are skipping to report screening centres which deteriorates the already fragile situation”.
He also said, “Those who arriving from other parts of world should report voluntarily to police or medical units for screening”.
SSP added people should not conceal travel history as it will cause catastrophic situation. He said travellers should fully cooperate with the administration at this crucial juncture and help government in defeating this epidemic.
SSP said there is no loss for public if they cooperate administration.
“Today this is not an issue of militancy, but an issue of society versus suspect which needs to be overpowered”, SSP added. (KNS)
