J&K police register 218 FIRs aganist lockdown violators

More helplines established at Srinagar, Jammu police hospitals

Jammu, 24 March: In its efforts to ensure complete lockdown across Jammu and Kashmir for safety of people, Jammu and Kashmir police has registered 218 FIR against lackdown violators.The FIRs has been registered for defying the ordes of lockdown issued by the government aimed to stop or break down the chain of deadly COVID-19.In Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Awantipora, Districts of South Kashmr Police has registered FIR aganist 28 persons for violating the orders. In central Kashmir’s Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal Districts police has registered FIRs aganist 14 such persons. In North Kashmir’s Baramulla, Kupwara, Handwara, Sopore, Bandipora district, FIR has been registered against 27 persons for violating the lackdown orders.In Jammu Samba Kathua range police has registered 50 FIRs aganist the persons for violating the orders and In Udhampur Reasi range 13 FIRs has been registered against the lockdown violators. Similarly, 21 FIRs has been registered against the persons for violating the orders in Doda Kishtwar Ramban Range .
