The meme was in reference to the gray and white beard support by Mr Abdullah which he had gown during his eight month detention post abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35 A on August 5, 2019.“Government should add barbers in essential service list, otherwise after quarantine there will eb Omar Abdullah in every house,” the meme twitted by Mr Abdulah read.Mr Abdullah was on Tuesday released after about eight months following revocation of his detention under Public Safety Act (PSA). The detention of Omar was revoked after PSA slapped on him was withdrawn by the J&K administration.Mr Abdullah’s photo last month, in which he was supporting gray beard, went viral on social media, evoking sympathy from politicians like Sitaram Yechury, Mamata Banerjee and others, but failed to garner any kind of support from local people of J&K, who can vote him back to power.
