JK tally rises to 125, 118 active
Srinagar, April 07: 15 more persons from Jammu and Kashmir were reported positive for Coronavirus infection on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in 125 in the region.J&K Government Spokesperson Rohit Kansal said 15 new cases of Coronavirus were reported on Tuesday. Among the fresh cases 9 from Kashmir and 6 from Jammu divisions.“We have now 125 cases reported in Jammu and Kashmir. Among them 118 are active. 24 cases are from Jammu division and 94 from the Kashmir division.“Aggressive contact tracing, red zones to continue,” he tweeted.As per the officials at the health department, three among the confirmed cases are from Lalbazar area of Srinagar and were at a quarantine centre in Hazratbal. The trio was shifted to Chest Disease hospital on Tuesday after their reports came positive for coronavirus.However, other two patients admitted at SKIMS are from Hajin area of Bandipora and Srinagar district respectively. The data of the other four cannot be verified.As per the Jammu Kashmir government, over 36000 travelers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance.With these 15fresh cases, 125 people have tested positive for the coronavirus disease and of them, 118 are active case 96 in Kashmir and 24 in Jammu.
