SHOPIAN: 09 APRIL 2020: Deputy Commissioner Shopian Chaudhary Mohammad Yasin today convened a meeting with Health department to review the arrangements put in place and keeping in view to control the spread and threat of Covid -19 popularly known as Novel Coronavirus. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent District Hospital Shopian, Chief Medical Officer, Block Medical Officer Shopian, Tehsildar Shopian Deputy Chief Medical Officer and other concerned participated in the said meeting. DC directed the health functionaries to work with great zeal , zest and dedication and leave no stone unturned and gear up their activities to provide each and every facility to the patients kept in quarantined centres across the district. He urged and stressed for sensitization and proper cleanliness in and around the quarantined centres. He directed the health department to also activate PHCs to pull out the load. He directed that those people who have travelled from outside should be screened and tested to avoid the threat and spread of the virus. Deputy Commissioner said that the District administration is in full swing and fully prepared to meet any eventuality. He said sufficient stock of health care facilities and equipment’s has already been kept reserved to facilitate the affected patients of the district.
