Police in Bandipora facilitated social distancing at public places

Distributed food stuffs in Kupwara

April 10: Police in its continuous drive regarding implementation of Govt regulations to combat COVID-19, facilitated social distancing at Public Places besides helping locals to get essentials in Bandipora and distributed food & other items among needy persons in Kupwara.
Bandipora police in collaboration with other departments sustained its comprehensive approach to implement social distancing at Banks, ATMs and arranged chairs to enable the people to abide the lockdown rules. Social distancing was also emphasized at Ration stores, Medical shops and other public utility stores besides helping residents to get essential goods and services without making people vulnerable to COVID-19 Virus across the district.
In Kupwara, Police team headed by Incharge PP Khurhama in collaboration with NGO “GOONJ” continued its efforts to meet the requirements of destitutes by distributing food & essential items among the needy people of the area. In the jurisdiction of Police Station Sogam, police team along with State Bank officials distributed food items among the widows and poor at Potshai and Bedibera areas of Lolab Kupwara. Similarly in the areas of Karnah, Police team headed by SHO Police Station Karnah distributed foodstuffs among the needy people.
Police once again requests the general public of the valley to maintain social distancing and good personal hygiene for prevention from Coronavirus. Police is committed to mitigate the difficulties faced by people due to lockdown.
