Srinagar, April 11: The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers cum Dealers Union (KVFGDU) Srinagar on Saturday urged the administration to airlift dealers, truckers stranded outside J&K.Chairman KVFGDU Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Basheer told in a statement to JKNS that before coronavirus lockdown was imposed some of the fruit frowers and dealers of the valley had left outside the valley in connection of their trade well and therefore are stuck in their respective stations.He said dealers are stranded in Bihar, Bengal, Azadpur Delhi, Punjab, Bengaluru, Mmbai and other parts. He said at end of every fruit season in the valley, the Fruit Growers and Dealers used to go their counterparts outside J&K (UT) for settlement of their accounts and sale of CA Stored apples.However, after the outbreak of the Covid-19, the dealers got stuck outside at their respective stations. The family members as well the union is extremely worried about the wellbeing of all the persons who are stuck outside J&K.The association has urged Lt. Governor led administration to make necessary arrangements for airlifting all the growers and dealers who are stuck outside because of Covid -19 lockdown. (JKNS)
