Kashmir 313 and Jammu 55 positive cases: Govt.
Srinagar, April 20: Fourteen more people tested positive for Covid-19 infection in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, taking the number of infected to 368, while two died in the region.As per the J&K government fresh 14 more persons from Jammu and Kashmir have been tested positive for coronavirus on Monday.“14 new cases reported. All from Kashmir. Total number of cases now 368. Jammu-55 and Kashmir-313, (sic),” government spokesman Rohit Kansal tweeted.With fourteen new cases on Monday the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has soared to 368 in the region. Till Sunday 61,331 travellers and persons in contact with suspect cases have been put under observation in J&K.“A total of 5939 are in-home quarantine, 289 in hospital isolation, 264 in hospital quarantine, and 23,868 in home surveillance,” the government said on Sunday.It said 30,966 people had completed their surveillance period.The government said 7545 samples had tested negative since the coronavirus outbreak in J&K, while 350 samples are positive.“56 coronavirus patients have recovered of which 43 are from Kashmir and 13 from Jammu,” the government said.Jammu Kashmir has so far witnessed five casualties due to coronavirus of which four are from Kashmir and one from Jammu.
