Distributes survival kits among needy, poor in Tral

Tral, April 22: Acting on the directions issued by the Prime Minister Narendera Modi to hail the Covid-19 warriors across country, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K spokesman today felicitated the executive officer Tral Municipal Committee and his team for playing an important role in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.
Thakur said that the EO Tral MC has been on the fore front of fighting the pandemic and taking innovative methods to prevent the spread of the virus. The BJP leader, who conducted an extensive tour of Tral township amid wearing a proper protective equipment (PPE), took a stock of the measures taken by the MC Tral. “I was glad to see the sanitization exercise started by the Tral MC and the decontamination of the areas by the MC. I was also surprised to see that each lane, by-lane and every house has been covered by the MC where disinfectants have been sprayed,” Thakur said.
The guidelines issued by the MC Tral, Thakur said that were laudable. He said the entire team of MC Tral led by EO deserves all praise and appreciation for ensuring that people at shops selling essential commodities maintain proper social distancing. “I am glad to see rules being followed by people of Tral in letter and spread,” Thakur said.
Meanwhile, Thakur distributed survival kits among the poor, destitute and needy in Tral. He said dozens of people who were in need of survival kits and also provided cash assistance to the destitute.
