JK reports 6th covid-19 death from Baramulla

Srinagar, April 24: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 6th coronavirus death after an elderly man from Tangmarg area of Baramulla died at Srinagar hospital.An official at SKIMS Medical College and Hospital (JVC) told JKNS that an elderly man from Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla died on Saturday morning. “The patient was admitted reffered from GMC Baramulla and was admitted in hospital on April 13th,” he said. The patient was a resident of Qazipora area of Tangmarg and was tested positive for the covid-19 infection at Baramulla.Eyewitnesses at Tangmarg village told JKNS that the deceased man was buried keeping in view of the medical formalities.“Few men from the village offered his funeral,” they said.Till date, Jammu and Kashmir had reported 6 deaths among them 5 are from Kashmir and 1 from Udampur district of Jammu.
