Srinagar, April 14: The inhabitants of Lalbazar, Alamdar Colony Shahai-Willayat-lane and adjacent areas expressed Sunday expressed their resentment against the authorities for failing to provide them portable water in the area.The area has also been declared red zone which abstains the locals to come out from the locality.
The local’s said water scarcity which makes their life miserable during this holy month of Ramadan.
Another group of residents from Dalhassanyar Habbakadal also complained that they are facing acute water shortage in the area.
The locals said that the area has been facing an acute water shortage for the last one month adding the government has failed to resolve the issue.
As per residents, despite repeated attempts to concerned authorities, things have remained unchanged on the ground. They said defunct water pipes have been blocked as they were not properly set up by the concerned authorities.
The resident’s appealed lieutenant Governor led administration and Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department to look into the matter, so that they would get a sigh of relief from water shortage in the area. (JKNS).
