Srinagar, April 28: A week after Pulwama was declared cornovirus free, a 24 year old youth on Tuesday was tested positive from Rehmoo village of the district.
Authorities had earlier declared Pulwama district Covid-19 free zone. In the first phase the district witnessed three confirmed cases but all these three patients were discharged after their recovery.
A senior official at Rajpora Pulwama told JKNS that a youth was tested positive in Rohmu village of district on Tuesday.
“The patient is from Rohmu village a patient who was in quarantine since April 14 in a school has tested positive,” an official said.
The official said he had been moved quarantine and they are tracing his contacts.
“We sent a team to visit the residence of the youth to isolate his family members and those in the neighbourhood he might have come in contact with after his arrival,” he said.
The official said the patient was asymptomatic, but in quarantine, he started developing symptoms and later tested positive. (JKNS)
