192 patients recovered in J&K, 381 active
Srinagar, May 02: Twenty-seven new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday taking the total number of people infected with the coronavirus disease in the region to 666.A senior official told JKNS that 27 fresh cases were reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and among them, 25 in Kashmir while 2 in Jammu division.Among the fresh cases 15 from Srinagar, 04 from Anantnag, 03 Shopian and 03 from Baramulla district.In Srinagar eight members of a family of a deceased elderly woman from Rainawari area were tested positive. Among the other 07, a nursing orderly from LD hospital was tested positive.
In Jammu’s division Samba district reported 2 fresh cases having travel history from the Mumbai city of Maharastra. While Jammu had recorded its first positive case on March 9, Kashmir’s first Covid-19 positive case was reported on March 18.So far, 247 have recovered in Jammu and Kashmir from the disease while eight other people have died.The government has said that over 68846 travellers and persons in contact with suspected cases have been put under surveillance.
