Srinagar, May 04 : The city police on Monday started fining people, who would not wear masks to combat the spread of deadly virus.
The move comes after Srinagar administration directed police to take action against those not wearing masks in a measure to prevent the spread of Corona virus.
As per the officials the on Monday police fined violators more than Rs 1800 for not wearing masks. Besides Police, Municipal Committee members and Revenue Department officials were also present during the checking.
A police officer told JKNS that they have directed to fine violators and who so-ever will be found they will be fined. (JKNS)
