District admin Udhampur launches quarantine centre management system

UDHAMPUR, MAY-17:- District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting of officers to review the arrangements in quarantine facilities.

During the meeting, the DDC stressed on quality of food, maintenance of hygiene in quarantine centres, sanitation, toilet facilities, etc.

DDC asked duty magistrate to ensure that people in quarantine centres do not face any problem and asked them to ensure that inmates of quarantine centres do not spill over the quarantine centre and mix with public of surrounding areas. He also asked concerned to furnish the detailed daily report for each quarantine centres.

DDC said that district administration has created administrative quarantine and in addition to free quarantine facilities, hotels in Udhampur   are also earmarked for paid quarantine, people who wish to avail paid quarantine can avail this facility.

Pertinent to mention here that Udhampur district has established /created paid quarantine facility from the start of quarantine system and people have also availed these facilities. Now keeping in view influx of large number of people from outside state and other districts   this facility has been enhanced and local hotels are designated for this facility.

For smooth management of quarantine centres, a mobile based platform for ensuring proper record keeping of samples, regular head count of inmates , sample number management and timely discharged  by concerned Magistrate Officer In charges. This was launched to stream line system in view of heavy influx of passengers in recent time. He urged the returnees from outside states to follow the SOPs issued by Government from time to time.

Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Nagendra Singh Jamwal, , CEO PDA, Sachin Dev Singh, IAS (Prob) Faz-Lul-Haseeb, District Information Officer, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, KAS (Prob), Suresh Singh, CMO, Dr. K.C Dogra, DHO, Dr. Mohammad Yaseen, ADIO NIC, Anish Sharma were present in the meeting.
