Warns strict action against guideline violators

GANDERBAL, MAY 22:- With an aim to maintain strict regulation of permissible activities in lockdown 4.0 for orange zones, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today conducted inspections of several areas including Nagbal Chowk, Beehama main market, etc. He was accompanied by ADC Ganderbal, Tehsildar Ganderbal, and officers from police authorities during the visit. During the inspection DC Ganderbal took on spot review of implementation of the mandatory guidelines for permissible activities during lockdown 4.0 followed by shopkeepers, commuters and private vehicles plying on the roads. DC warned violators of strict action if  found opposing any of the guidelines. He also said wrong parking of vehicles will be viewed seriously and stern action will be taken in this regard. He further added shops shall remain open from 9.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M only. While inspecting the Nagbal Chowk, DC Ganderbal directed the president of market association, Nagbal, to assure that all the commercial activities in the market shall be carried out as per the SOP’s like drawing circles outside shops for maintaining social distancing, wearing face masks, use of sanitizers, and avoiding unnecessary rush.  Also, Shopkeepers were told to maintain personal hygiene and make wearing of face masks compulsory, avoid profiteering, besides, displaying the already notified rate lists for selling essential commodities.Meanwhile few shops were also sealed on spot who were found violating guidelines of permissible activities under lockdown 4.0.
