1633 migrant labourers dispatched to Katra Railway station from Samba

Migrants hailing from Chattisgarh dispatched in 55 buses for their train to home district

SAMBA MAY 27: District administration Samba today sent migrant labourers to Katra for their further journey to their home states. Over 1633 persons all from Chhattisgarh were sent in a fleet of 55 buses from the 3 different dispatching points in the district. Deputy Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria informed that breakfast, tea and snacks were provided to the stranded people while packaged food and water was provided with them for travel. Assistant Road Transport Officer, Rehana Tabassum and Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba Amil Khateeb oversaw the complete process of dispatching of the interstate migrants. It was also informed that more such efforts shall be taken in coming days to ensure smooth and proper transit of interstate migrants.
