COVID-19: ISM Doda distributes immunity booster medicine among employees

DODA, JUNE 02: Indian System of Medicine (AYUSH) today distributed immunity booster medicines among the employees at District Development Commissioner’s office Doda to boost the natural immunity.

Medical Officer Dr Mubashir Mintoo said the immune booster medicines are being distributed as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India and following the direction of DDC Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode.

Highlighting the role of immune boosters in Covid-19 pandemic, the Medical Officer said that enhancing the body’s natural defence system (immunity) plays an important role in maintaining optimum health.

Medical Officer along with Dr Ashwani Thakur also aware the employees about mode of consumption and dosage of these immune-boosting medicines.

On the occasion the Medical Officer said that the immunity booster medicine is being distributed free of cost by the Department of Indian System of Medicine (AYUSH). He informed that more than 5000 immunity-boosting medicines have been distributed among the frontline workers, quarantine centres inmates and general public across the district.

He said that besides distributing medicines the ISM doctors and paramedic staff is actively working shoulder to shoulder with the Department of Health and are effectively delivering their services in various quarantine centres in the district. He said ISM also aware the general public about the precautions to be taken to prevent COVID19 spread.
