GANDERBAL, JUNE 02:- Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) road which is being executed and maintained by Beacon Authorities.
The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, SDM Kangan, ACR Ganderbal, Tehsildar Gund, Tehsildar Wakura, officials from BEACON and other concerned officers from line departments.
During the meeting threadbare discussions were held to remove the bottlenecks of land acquisition cases of the SSG road and various other issues related to it.
The DC on the occasion stressed upon the concerned officers to work in tandem and speed up the developmental pace for completion of the prestigious SSG road within the stipulated time.
He also directed BEACON authorities to start work immediately and take necessary support from concerned Tehsildar and SHO wherever required.
The DC framed a committee of officers headed by SDM Kangan comprising of Tehsildar Kangan, Tehsildar Gund, and 2IC-Beacon to conduct a joint visit on spots of SSG road having issues and put forth a genuine way out to resolve them at an earliest.
The committee was also directed to furnish a report within weeks’ time in this regard to the chair.
