JAMMU, JUNE 11: Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma, today convened a meeting to discuss issues related to West Pakistani Refugees and Displaced Persons (DPs) cases of 1947, 1965 and 1971.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner Jammu, R K Srangal, PRO, Ravinder Sharma, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Jammu, Vijay Kumar Sharma, besides Deputy Commissioner Samba and Kathua along with other concerned officers attended the meeting through video conferencing.
Deputy Commissioners apprised the Div Com of the number of files of WPR and DPs received and approved in their respective districts. They further informed about total number of families of West Pakistani refugees identified in their respective districts. It was informed that the process of verification of family is in progress.
The Div Com asked the DCs to expedite the process for identification of left out families of WPR and Displaced Persons in their respective districts. He also directed them to submit all completed cases in his office for relief assistance to WPR and displaced persons families under PMDP.
