Asks to expedite creation of Disaster Recovery Centre

JAMMU, JUNE 11: Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Pawan Kotwal, today reviewed the progress on digitization of land record and general functioning of Revenue Department at district level here at a video conferencing meeting with all Deputy   Commissioners (DCs) of Jammu and Kashmir.

He took district wise review of progress made in the implementation of Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), including updation of Jamabandies and Computerization of Registration System.

The Revenue authorities of respective districts informed about the current status and targets achieved at various levels of    digitization/computerization process of the revenue record.

Progress on the creation of Disaster Recovery Centre was also reviewed in detail.

The FC Revenue highlighted the importance of Disaster Recovery Centre and asked the concerned to complete the ambitious task by end June, 2020.

Financial Commissioner directed the Deputy Development Commissioners to personally monitor the ongoing digitization process and take periodical review of the progress made. He reiterated that the digital maintenance would make it easier and quicker to obtain updated land revenue record.

Commissioner Survey & LR J&K, Shahnawaz Bukhari; Additional Commissioner Revenue, N A Baba; AIGR Jammu, Rishpal Singh; RDLS Jammu, Dr Mushtaq Ahmed and other senior officers of Revenue department attended the meeting in person.
