BUDGAM, JUNE 14: District Magistrate Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza today visited various COVID-19 Red Zones areas in the district to take first hand appraisal of facilities and availability of essential supplies there.
He also took review of implementation of Lockdown guidelines in these zones aimed to prevent spread of COVID-19 virus.
The DM visited notified red zone areas of Wadwan, Chaira and Rathsun where from some Covid-19 positive cases were reported and issued on spot directions to officials to ensure that Red zones are strictly locked down.
He said that District administration is pro-actively geared up to mitigate any impending urgency and is fully vigilant in areas declared as Red zones.
The DM also interacted with the public, counseled them about the idea of social distancing and other guidelines and precautionary measures needed, to prevent spread of COVID-19 virus infection.
He on the occasion distributed masks among the public and urged them to wear masks as a step to prevent COVID-19 virus spread.
The DM during the visit was accompanied by a team of officers both from Civil & Police administration and other concerned officials.
