Jammu Kashmir Editors Forum paid tributes to late Shujaat Bukhari on his second death anniversary, here on Sunday.
A member of the Forum while talking to news agency remembered Bukhari as a “journalist par excellence.”
“Shujaat Sahaab was a brave man who would take the things head on, which earned him fame worldwide”, he said adding “It is not everytime we get to have a person like him among us.”
Remarking that the proposed seminar to remember Bukhari “could not be conducted due to the prevailing COVID19 pandemic crisis”, he said that “soon as this crisis subsides it (seminar) would be conducted at Press Club.”
Shujaat Bukhari was one of the founding members of Jammu Kashmir Editors Forum, he said.
Pertinent to mention here that, Bukhari assassinated alongside his two security personnel on June 14, 2018, was the Editor of Rising Kashmir, valley-based English daily.
