Srinagar Police solves theft case within 04 days; Accused arrested

June 14: Police in Srinagar solved a theft case reported to Police Station Karanagar and arrested two accused persons involved in the commission of crime. Stolen property has also been recovered by the officers.

On 10th June, PS Karanagar received a written complaint from a resident doctor posted at SMHS Hospital Srinagar stating that some unknown persons have broken the mirror of the car and have stolen laptop, cash and some clothes from his vehicle Celerio bearing registration number JK01AB-9684, which was parked in the premises of SMHS Srinagar.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 42/2020 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Karanagar and investigation was initiated.

During the course of investigation, officers taking assistance of modern techniques and learnt about the involvement of one accused person identified as Fahad Nazir Bhat son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Watalkadal Safakadal. He was arrested and shifted to PS Karan Nagar.

Moreover, Officers also came to know that he has sold the stolen laptop to one individual identified as Azad Ahmad Khan son of Gulzar Ahmad Khan resident of Hamdania Colony Bemina. Subsequently, he was also arrested and stolen property was also recovered from his possession.

Community members have appreciated the efforts made by the Srinagar police. We assure community members that police have resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
