Medical cum Covid-19 Awareness Camp held at Mirgund Pattan

June 23:  In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, a medical cum awareness camp was organized by IRP 20th Bn in collaboration with an NGO (Borderless World Foundation group) at Govt Middle School Mirgund Pattan following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The NGO team was headed by Ms. Jaya Iyer, besides Dr. Disha & Mr.  Riyaz were part of the team. The camp was attended by the locals of nearby areas of village Mirgund.

 While addressing the participants Ms. Jaya Iyer & Dr. Disha  explained the importance of precautions for containing COVID-19 pandemic.  They further advised the people to restrict outside movement & stay at homes so that they do not come in contact with any suspected person which can lead the spread of virus in the area.

Shri Baqar Samoon-JKPS CO IRP-20th Bn while addressing the participants,  advised them to take the immunity boosting medicines only as per the Doctors advice besides follow preventive measures & ensure cleaning of their surroundings which is must to contain the pandemic.

He also expressed gratitude to the NGO group for their cooperation in extending the social service to the people of the surrounding areas of Mirgund Pattan.  On the occasion, other senior Police officers of IRP-20th Bn were also present.

Apart from medical camp,   food kits were also distributed among 50 needy families of surrounding areas of Mirgund Pattan.

The participants thanked J&K Police for organizing such camps and hailed the efforts made by police for containing the pandemic in the valley.
