Srinagar. 24th June 2020:
Srinagar Police in continuing its war against drugs, on 23rd June 2020, Police Party from Police Station Nowhtta led by SHO, under the supervision of SDPO Khanyar and Superintendent of Police Zone North, established a Naka at Shampora Chowk.
During checking, one Sentro car bearing registration No. JK01J-5857 coming from Nowhatta Chowk towards Shampora Chowk was stopped and thoroughly checked, during which *544 Simplex + Spasmo-proxivon Plus banned Capsules* were recovered from the possession of the accused in the said car.
Both the accused travelling in car were arrested a taken into custody namely:
1. Moomin Mazoor Kak
S/o Manzoor Ahmad Kak
R/o Kak Mohalla Nowhatta.
2. Samam Bashir Shah
S/o Bashir Ahmad Shah R/o Roshangarh Mohalla Nowhatta.
In this connection Case FIR No. *27/2020* U/S 8/21-22 was registered in Police Station Nowhatta and investigation into the matter started.
The Srinagar Police is committed to continue its offensive against the drug peddlers.
