Fire breaks out in Banimulla forests

Kulgam, June 25 : Fire broke out in the forest area of Banimulla area of Devsar in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday late evening.

Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the fire broke out in the forest area of compartment number 27.

Forest Range Officer Devsar, Altaf Hakeem told KNO the forest employees were on the job to douse the flames and prevent it from spreading.

“Hopefully it will be controlled soon,” Hakeem, who is also part of the operation said.

The officer said that the cause of the fire will be ascertained after the flames are brought under control—(KNO)
