DC Pulwama for realizing desirable results during Kisan Pakhwada

PULWAMA, JULY 01: To discuss the modalities for realising desirable results during “Kissan Pakhwada”, the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer on Wednesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers here.

The Kisan Pakhwada is being observed from 7th July to 21st July 2020 across the country.

During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on various objectives of Kissan Pakhwada including saturation of KCC to cent percent farmers, foolproof final list of beneficiaries under PM Kissan, removal of bottlenecks for farmers in obtaining loans against KCC, credit to primary agriculture sector, massive awareness regarding schemes available for farmers and organizing Kissan melas.

With regard to the saturation of cent percent KCC to farmers, he asked the concerned officers to work in close coordination to achieve the target within the shortest possible time.

For framing a fool proof final list of the beneficiaries under PM Kisan, he asked the Chief Agriculture Officer to share the list with the concerned Tehsildars to verify the same through revenue records and submit it to the banks for crediting the benefit into the accounts of farmers.

Regarding the awareness campaigns, he directed the concerned officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and other allied departments and bank authorities to organise special camps at different locations in the district during the programme to aware the farmers about various centric and UT government schemes meant for the welfare of the farmers.

Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Tehsildars were directed to ensure the proper monitoring of all the activities to be carried out in the areas of their respective jurisdictions during the programme.

The DC also asked the concerned officers to ensure that the Covid protection SOPs guidelines are followed while carrying out different activities related to the programme.

Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Chief Planning Officer, Awantipora and Tral, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Panchayat Officer,   Assistant Director Fisheries, and Lead District Manager.

In another meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer held detailed discussions on CD ratios of the banks, identification of beneficiaries, flow of credit, assistance under Government sponsored schemes, performances of banks under District Credit Plan (DCP), achievements made under the above said Quarter, monitoring initiatives and Credit Plus activities.

DDC impressed upon the bankers to put in added efforts to increase the CD ratio by focusing on potential areas and stressed for better coordination between banks and government departments for bringing improvement in CD ratio.

He directed concerned for ensuring balanced lending in all key sectors to promote equitable growth and heads of the financial institutions were also directed to raise awareness regarding welfare schemes sponsored by them among masses so that people can avail benefit for their socio-economic development.

The DDC emphasized upon the priority sector lending with a special focus on education, women development and agriculture allied sectors and directed concerned officials to organise the financial literacy camps in every block of the district.

He directed the Tehsildars to organise special camps for title verification of land so that the KCC loans are sanctioned without impediments.

The meeting was attended by Lead District Manager, Cluster Head JK Bank, NABARD, representatives of various banks, District Coordinators, District Heads of various government departments and sponsoring agencies.
