Srinagar, August 05: Hitting out at NC and Congress, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Wednesday said with the abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A), the connivance of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Jawahar Lal Nehru has ended.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Singh said Article 370 and 35(A) promoted separatism and encouraged terrorism in Kashmir which however was slashed down by BJP Government on August 5, 2019.
“With the abolition of Article 370 and 35(A), J&K has been merged into Union of India completely and has become 100 percent integral part of India”, Singh asserted.
He said all laws of the Union of India have been extended to J&K now as 370 and 35(A) has shown doors.
Paying tributes to BJP ideologue Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee who died on June 23, 1953 in J&K, Singh said the dream of the party legend has come true after seven decades. “The dream of Dr Shama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Prem Nath Dogra and those who laid down their lives for upholding the tricolor eternally in J&K has come true today as we are celebrating first anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A)”, he said.
