Director Handicrafts Kashmir makes fun of peoples grievances: BJP

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Kashmir unit Monday stated that Director Handicrafts Jammu and Kashmir Massarat-ul-Islam is making fun of people’s grievances and has failed in settle the issues related to handicrafts.

Party’s Kashmir Media-Incharge and senior leader Manzoor Bhat said that few days back they received a delegation at BJP’s media office in Srinagar regarding grievances about handicrafts which were pending for a year.

However the BJP office headed by Manzoor Bhat called the Director Handicrafts about the matter.

However, during the conversation, the director refused to resolve the grievances and told Bhat to go the Governor’s Grievance cell which is unfortunate.

“The director told me to first contact through landline number and said to go directly to office of Governor,” Bhat said.

Bhat said however later he got a number of threat calls from different numbers from Civil Secretariat. The recordings of all phone calls are with Bhat.

He said that there are number of public grievances that are pending for a long time and the general public is suffering badly due to lackadaisical attitude of the department.

“A common should not move from pillar to post. The departmental issues should be resolved the department only,” he said.

Bhat said that they talk to the officers about the peoples grievances but it is unfortunate that the director is behaving irresponsibly.

He appealed the J&K Governor Manoj Sinha led administration to act tough against such officers who are hurdling developmental works in the Union Territory.

Bhat demanded that such officers should be put to the task as they are not working with transparency due to which people are suffering.
