*Mehjoor Nagar and adjoining areas face frequent power cuts*
Residents of Mehjoor Nagar and adjacent area of Srinagar city have decried frequent power cuts in the area.

Locals said they receive power supply for few hours in a day. “Despite paying our bills regularly, the PDD resorts to frequent power cuts. We make a fervent appeal to Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter,” they said.

The locals told news agency that besides Mehjoor Nagar, Padshahi Bagh, Karsoo Raj Bagh and Ram Bagh are facing erratic power supply, causing inconvenience to them in the biting cold conditions besides troubling students who are preparing for various examinations.

“We are regularly paying our electricity dues, yet the power supply in our areas is dismal,” said locals.
