Kulgam November 15: In its endeavour to eradicate all forms of anti-social elements, District Police Kulgam have arrested Two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
During intervening night of 14/15 November 2020, Police party headed by I/C Police post Frisal SI Farhat Hussain under supervision of SHO Yaripora while patrolling at Main Market Frisal spotted Two suspicious persons who after noticing police party tried to escape from the spot but were Nabbed tactfully by the patrolling party. During checking, officers were able to recover 05 Grams of Heroin like substance and Rs 6000 in Cash from the possession of Two persons whose identity have been ascertained as:
- Nazir Ahmad Ganie S/O Gull Mohd Ganie R/O Frisal.
- Shahid Ahmad Bhat S/O Bashir Ahmad Bhat R/O Brazloo Yaripora.
Regarding the incident, case FIR No. 144/2020 U/S 8/21, 22 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Yaripora and further investigation is in process.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding anti-social activities in their neighbourhood. Kulgam Police warns strict action against those whosoever found indulging in anti-social activities.
