Residents of Tral protest against hike in Electricity bills

Residents of of sub division Tral on Thursday held a protest demonstration against the electricity fee hike.

Reports said that scores of people led by Citizens Council Tral Chairman Farooq Ahmad Tral assembled at main Chowk Tral and held anti-PDD protests against hike in power tariff.

Citizens Council Tral Chairman Farooq Ahmad appealed the higher authorities to look into the matter.


The protest call was given by jointly Citizens Council Tral and Traders Federation Tral. Chairman Citizens Council Tral Farooq Trali addressed the gathering and demanded that the hike should be rolled back at an earliest otherwise people of Sub District Tral will intensify the strike in coming days. Trali in his address said we people of Kashmir are facing economic slowdown and in present circumstances it is injustices with the consumers to hike the tariff.
