BSF officer killed in Pak Sniper fire from across LoC in Poonch

Poonch, Dec 1: A Border Security Force (BSF) officer was today killed in a sniper attack by the Pakistani army from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district.

A senior BSF officer told news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) that the Pakistani army violated the ceasefire and targeted a jawan of the border guarding force, who was on duty at a post along the LoC, with sniper fire.

The officer (ASI), who was critically injured in the attack, succumbed subsequently, he said.

He identified the officer as ASI P. Jatha of 59 Battalion of BSF. (KDC)
