Srinagar, Dec 07: Amid ongoing voting for the fourth phase of DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir internet services have been snapped in entire South Kashmir.
Sources told news agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) that internet services have been suspended in all four districts of south Kashmir due to security concerns.
Sources said that the internet was suspended during the intervening night of Sunday-Monday.
Worthwhile to mention is that South Kashmir has always been in the headlines for militancy related activities and all the polling stations in the southern districts are considered highly sensitive.
Pertinently, during the third phase of voting on Friday, suspected militants attacked a DDC candidate Anees ul Islam of Apni Party in the Kokranag area of Anantnag, leaving him injured.
Anees ul Islam is contesting elections from Kokranag constituency.
