JKNS: Handwara town today witnessed the grand finale of a Music & Cultural festival. Renowned artists like Kabul Bukhari, Waqar Khan, MC Musaaib, Anil Pandit Chingari & Shagufta performed on the occasion and enthralled the crowds with their mesmerising performances. It was the first time that an event of such a magnitude has been conducted in North Kashmir. The presence of a large crowd which overflowed the performance ground, in Government Degree College, Handwara was witnessed for the first time in the area. The spectacular sight of ‘Badalta Kashmir’ was evident during the event. Maj Gen HS Sahi, GOC Kilo Force, was the Chief Guest for the event. Speaking to the assembled gathering, he appreciated the artists as well as participation of people of Rajwar, Langate & Qaziabad. Maj Gen HS Sahi felicitated the Artists & Anchors, and also appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of locals for whole-heartedly accepting the progressive change in the Kashmiri Society. This event bore a festive look and was attended by many prominent personalities & senior officials of the surrounding area. The anchors on seeing the overwhelming support of crowd announced spontaneous award gift vouchers for most beautifully dressed, most enthusiastic participant, best dancer etc amongst the crowd. The mega music festival has opened the doors of such large events in future in an otherwise over-looked North Kashmir. The success of this event is a positive indicator of inevitable progress & development that North Kashmir would be witnessing in the future.
