DC Pulwama visits snow affected areas.Emphasizes on early restoration of essential services

PULWAMA , JANUARY 3: Deputy Commissioner, Pulwama ,Dr Raghav Langer along with a team of officers today conducted an extensive tour of the snow affected areas of the district and took stock of snow clearance, restoration of power and water supply, availability of ration and other essentials in the area.

He visited areas of Tral , Awantipora , Lethpora and adjoining areas of Pulwama.

During the tour, DC visited Dadsara ,Noorpora , Awantipora , Lajura , Ratnipora , , Lethpora and adjoining areas where he interacted with local and took stock of the snow clearance operation, availability of essential commodities, power and water supply restoration.

He inspected Water Supply Scheme at Lethpora , Kakapora besides Grid Stations at Narwa and Pulwama to took stock of services .He also inspected PDD workshop at Awantipora and directed the officials to expedite the delivery of repaired transformers to consumers without any delay .

The DC also visited PHC Kakapora and PHC Dadsara where he took stock of availability of patient care facilities. On the occasion locals raised issues including staff dearth, repair and renovation of the centres. Assuring timely redressal of the grievances, he directed the concerned to provide separate electricity and water connection to the centre.

Dr Raghav directed the concerned to remain available for public grievance redresall and not to leave their headquarters in view inclement weather.

Meanwhile District Disaster Management Authority Pulwama circulated the 24*7 Helpline numbers of all essential services and appealed to people to feel free in recording their grievances related to essential supplies.
