DDC Kathua reviews arrangements for Republic Day celebrations-2021

KATHUA, JANUARY 03:- District Development Commissioner Kathua, Om Prakash today reviewed the arrangements for the Republic Day-2021 celebrations here at a meeting with the line departments.

It was decided that the district level function would be held at the Sports Stadium, where the national flag would be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from J&K Police, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.

The celebration of the national event would begin with the playing of Shehnai Vadan by the Information department in the wee hours of the day.

Threadbare discussions were held regarding the arrangements including drinking water, power supply, sanitation, barricading, security and traffic regulation, seating arrangement, deployment of fire-tenders, medical teams etc were also discussed in the meeting.

The DDC asked the officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event. He directed the concerned officers to ensure better coordination for making the national function a grand success. He called upon the officers and employees of all departments to remain present at the venue, on the day of function.

Assistant Superintended of Police, Ramnish Gupta; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Atul Gupta, RTO Raj Kumar Thappa, CPO Uttam Singh, XEN PWD, XEN Jal Shakti, XEN PDD and other senior officers of Civil and Police administration attended the meeting.
