Staying true to its motto of Humsaya Hain Hum, AWWAL ATTHAIS adopted a local girl named Shamima Bano daughter of Ghulam Ali resident of Kuligam for the purpose of providing her higher education. Shamima recently completed her Class XII and was wanting to pursue higher studies from Degree college, Kupwara. However, owing to the financial condition of her father she was unable to do so. 28 RR Bn came to the aid of the family by agreeing to bear the expenses for her higher education.
