Srinagar, Jan 09: Two cases of SARS-CoV-2 have been detected in Kashmir valley on Saturday, officials said here.
Dr. Bilquees Shah, Nodal officer for COVID-19 at JLNM hospital said two male patients from Kashmir have been tested positive for new COVID strain that was first reported in the United Kingdom a month ago.
“Those detected with new strain hails from Habak and Soura areas of Srinagar,” she said, adding both the patients are travellers.
Officials said people whom those who comes into their contact so far will be isolated as a precautionery measure.
Pertinently, nearly 90 cases of new SARS-CoV-2 have so far recorded in India so far.
