DODA, JANUARY 12: District Development Commissioner, Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today reviewed the arrangements for celebration of Republic day function 2021 at the District Head Quarter.
Detailed discussions were held on various issues regarding seating arrangement, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS and fire-tenders, preparation of tableaus,and refreshment to students participating in the National function were also discussed in the meeting.
The DDC asked all officers to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event. He called upon the officers and employees of all departments to remain present at the venue, on the day of function.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be organized in the Sports Stadium Doda and at some other venue in case of adverse weather conditions. The function would start with the Shehnai Vadan programme at 7.00 AM in the morning by the Information department.
It was further decided in the meeting that contingents of Police, NCC, CRPF, FPF, IRP, different schools, college etc would participate in the march past, while the concerned were asked to include Covid warrior contingent. The DDC also stressed on the display of tableaus by various departments during the main function to highlight the achievements and new schemes.
The Executive Officer Doda, Municipality was asked to maintain cleanliness in the town as well as at the venue, and also illuminate the main government buildings and other identified sites. Regarding First aid arrangements, the Chief Medical Officer was directed to ensure the deployment of one ambulance along with a team of Doctors and necessary medicine till the end of function and during the rehearsals.
The meeting was informed that the rehearsals would start from 15th of January and full dress rehearsal shall be held on 24th of January, besides screening of cultural items shall be conducted on 22nd Jan by the designated committee.
The DDC also constituted different committees like Rehearsal committee, Reception Committee, Contingent selection committee, screening of cultural items committee, seating arrangement committee, awards and citation committee etc for the successful celebration of the national function.
