GANDERBAL, JANUARY 13: A team of District Veterans Office (DVO) Srinagar led by Incharge, Rashid War today called upon the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal to discuss various issues pertaining to the veterans of district Ganderbal.
During the discussion, the team raised several issues and grievances of veterans of Ganderbal. They also thanked the DC for their support and initiatives taken by the district administration in identifying state land for establishment of welfare office for the veterans of the district.
The DC assured the members that their genuine issues will be looked into and informed them that the district administration has designated nodal officers who shall review the issues of the veterans on a monthly basis.
Meanwhile, the DC handed over blankets to the team for further distribution among war widows.
It is pertinent to mention, the District Veterans Office takes special care in attending to the problems of the serving soldiers of Army, Navy, Air force, ex-servicemen, widows and their dependents of district Ganderbal.
