Roaming Wild Bear Takes Shelter Inside School in Handwara Village, Locals Panicked

Wildlife Nowhere in Sight, Allege Locals
Panic has gripped Haril area in Handwara after a roaming black bear takes shelter in a local school on Sunday afternoon.

Reports reaching news agency said that the bear, first sighted in the residential area, after being chased by locals entered to take shelter inside Government Middle School Haril.

The locals have alleged that despite the beast striking fear and panic among the residents, none of the Wildlife Department officials’ was in sight to help them.

“They (Wildlife Department) officials haven’t visited here despite several intimations to them”, the locals said.
