SRINAGAR, Jan 22: Welcoming the approval of Ratle Hydroelectric Project on river Chenab in Kishtwar cleared by the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, BJP J&K chief spokesperson for Minority Morcha, Hilal Jan said the new approved will generate jobs for unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
Terming it as a historical decision for making J&K power surplus, the senior BJP thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving the much awaited 850 MW Ratle Hydroelectric Project.
“BJP led government in Centre has approved it at an investment of Rs 5282 Crores and ensuring the unprecedented development of Jammu & Kashmir,” Hilal Jan said.
Hilal Jan further said that Jammu & Kashmir was deprived of this mega project for so long because the previous regimes, thus, depriving educated youth better jobs in this section.
Jan appealed the present government led by Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha to section a training institution with latest technology driven facilities to train and equip the youth with latest job portfolios in the power sector.
