DIC Ramban sensitizes Sangaldan youth about PM’s Employment Generation Programme

RAMBAN, JANUARY 27: District Industries Centre, Ramban on Wednesday sensitized the unemployed youth  about the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) at an awareness camp held here at Sangaldan.

The resource persons  focused on   the package of incentives being offered by the department of Industries and Commerce, including Capital Investment Subsidy (CIS), Interest, Insurance as well as DG set subsidy schemes, besides other schemes to promote industrial activities in the district.

Block Development Officer-Sangaldan, & Dhadam, Lead Bank Officer, Naib Tehsildar, PRIs and   senior citizens, besides the general public of the area were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Functional Manager T. K Koul highlighted the benefits of PMEGP. He urged the youth to avail benefits of different incentive based schemes to become a successful entrepreneur. He advised them to start their small ventures to promote local products, besides fulfilling the requirements of people at local level.

Earlier, General Manager, DIC assured   of every possible help,   guidance and expert opinion to young entrepreneurs at their doorsteps from the department.

People were also informed about the procedure for availing incentives like Capital Investment Subsidy, Central Interest Subsidy and Central Insurance Subsidy.

The local people appreciated the efforts of the Industries and Commerce Department and demanded that similar awareness camps be organized on a regular basis to generate awareness among the masses at grassroots level.
