DODA, JANUARY 29: The 2 day inter departmental tennis ball cricket tournament organised by the District Administration Doda under the overall supervision of DDC, Dr Sagar D Doifode, and in coordination with District Health Society and Sports department here at Sports Stadium culminated successfully.
Four teams viz DC 11, SP 11, Covid warriors and GMC 11 participated in the 2 day tournament.
The DC 11 and SP 11 reached to the final after winning their league matches. The DC 11, batting first, made 78 runs, while SP 11 failed to chase the target and was all out at 57 runs only.
The DDC Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode was the Chief Guest on the occasion, while SSP, Mumtaz Ahmed was Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC congratulated players of all the teams for demonstrating great show of sportsmanship. He asked the youth to come forward to participate in these kind of sports activities and assured that the district administration will facilitate the youngsters in every possible manner.
Later, DDC alongwith SSP Doda handed over the trophy to the winning team and also felicitated other participating players.
Among others present were Officiating Principal GMC Doda Dr Tariq Azad, Dy Commandant IRP 5th BN P N Tikko, CMO Doda, Dr Yaqoob Mir, ACD Doda. Prem Singh Chib, DYSSO Doda Jaffar Haider Sheikh, besides other officials of Sports department and organising Committee.
