DC Kupwara flags off 24 students for games tour

KUPWARA, JANUARY 30: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din today flagged off a group of 24 school children for a games tour to Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu division.

     These students belong to different schools of Kupwara district and include Boys contingent. They are scheduled to play Inter District State level Kho Kho under 19 and Kabaddi under 14 years matches.

         Speaking at the occasion, DC said that sports are the basic element that helps students to grow physically. He urged upon the student community to always take interest in sports, apart from their curricular activities.

He also asked the District Youth Services and Sports Officer to arrange more and more tours, so that students from every area of the district could get a chance to visit other parts of the country.
